Mr Joseph Ragg

General Surgeon

Joe is a General Surgeon.

Training and Qualification is M.B.,,B.S (Univ. of Melb.), with surgical training based at Royal Melbourne Hospital leading to FRACS (Fellowship Royal Australasian College of Surgeons). Further were post graduate (MSurg, (Flinders University, Adelaide)) and pursuing an interest in Colorectal surgery including Fellowship positions over two years in the United Kingdom prior to then commencing consultant practice.

Having grown up in SouthWest Victoria (Camperdown) Joe is pleased to be able to provide a service that allows regional Australians to have health care locally. Joe’s positions include Visiting Medical Officer at SouthWest HealthCare (Warnnambool and Camperdown), St John of God Warrnambool, and Portland District Health.

‘Scope of Practice’ includes Colorectal (e.g. common conditions such as bowel carcinoma which will unfortunately affect 1 in 20 Australians in their lifetime, Colonoscopy (diagnostic and associated procedures), and General abdominal and other surgery (e.g. Hernia, Gallbladder, Breast, Minor plastics). Other activities include contributing toward the training of Surgical Registrars (future General Surgeons) along with Medical Undergraduates.


Practice Manager

Donna is an experienced medical administrator who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care. She can answer your questions about paperwork, hospital bookings, preparation for endoscopies, costs associated with your care and any other questions that you may have. When not at work, Donna can be found enjoying music festivals, art, travel and long chats with family and friends over a meal.



Phyllis is a warm and welcoming receptionist and has a strong focus on providing exceptional administration and reception support. With a strong background in government, educational and medical administration, her efficient and friendly nature ensures that all patients visiting our rooms feel well cared for. She enjoys her family time, walking around our beautiful city and pottering in the garden.
